“Miljevina” is a stone of whitish to yellowish colour with darker brown-yellowish laminae. When moist it has light brown colour. On a cut surface, which is extremely smooth, open millimetric pores can be observed. A broken surface is rugged, and the edges crumble. It is permanently in a state of an increased moistness and it dries slowly.
