Mixed Wath stone is part of the Coralline Oolite Formation (of Upper Jurassic age). It is an oolitic limestone. Light grey colour, coarse grained, oolitic limestone.
Summary Uses:
Cladding
Based on the recent test data, the Wath blue is suitable for use as external vertical cladding on plain walling, protection would be needed for exposed surfaces.
Internal Flooring
Wath limestone is suitable for use in moderately trafficked areas, such as an office environment (refer to BRE IP 10/00 for further details). Each of the stones with the 180 grit honed surface are noted to be slip resistant when dry. They are not regarded as being slip resistant when in the wet condition. This stone should only be used in an internal situation if the user is satisfied the floor will not get wet or safety measures can be put in place should the floor get wet.
