With its subtle color and pattern, yet pronounced grain, Deer Isle? has a quiet presence. Fletcher Granite’s Deer Isle quarry is located in Stonington, Maine where Deer Isle? granite has been quarried for over one hundred years. Originally schooners carried granite from the quarries Stonington, Maine down the east coast. Deer Isle? granite that was quarried during the late 1800’s through today can be seen throughout Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. as well as in other major eastern metropolitan areas.
