We have been the involved with the extraction of stone and marble since before 1871 in Letternoosh where the quarry is located on family lands. Conamara Stone is located at Letternoosh Conamara, Co. Galway two miles from Clifden on the N59 road, 50 miles from Galway city, 200 miles from Dublin.
At Letternoosh, Marble, Stone, Iron and Copper have been mined over the last centuries and the area is stepped in history with recorded human activity dating back over 5,000 years. The gaelic name Leitir Nuis “Leitir” translated means side of a hill and “N?is” means a cavern/quarry.
