MARMOL, GRANITO, SHELLSTONE, CONCHUELA, ONYX, TRAVERTINOS
Shell Stone is the famous Mexican shellstone, which is made up of millions of fossils. The fossils can be clearly seen on the surface of the stone. The appearance of Shell Stone is unique and it has been used in five star hotels in Mexico City and Cancun as well as luxury homes throughout central and northern America. Shell Stone was also used in the construction of the ancient Mayan pyramids of the Yucatan peninsula which date from 300 BC.
Uses: Used as wall and floor covering, wall cladding and decorative use.
Origin: Mexico. This fossil stone is extracted on the Yucatan peninsula.

*Mohs' scale of mineral hardness characterizes the scratch resistance of various minerals through the ability of a harder material to scratch a softer material. For instance, if you scratched a diamond along a pane of glass, the glass would scratch and it wouldn't harm the diamond in any way.

As well as colour variation, some of our tiles may have minor chips, piholes, and blemishes. these imperfections are characteristic of this type of tile and not the result of poor workmanship which, if it occured, would be replaced.
