Product Description
The basin, also called sink, is an apparatus consisting of a water source and a collection basin with drainage.
The sink is often an integral part of sanitation devices, like bathrooms, kitchens and services in general. The water supply is commonly provided by one or more taps of hot water and/or cold, and the exhaust is normally connected to a sewer system.
Its primary function is the temporary collection of water used for sanitary objects, animals and/or human uses (e.g. hand-washing).
It draws its origins from the fixed basins or tubs, already used by ancient civilizations from the third millennium BC, many artifacts of ancient bathrooms and kitchens show the almost unchanged form and function for thousands of years until today .
The use of specific equipment for the washing of hands, as well as sanitation, is also connected with the purification rituals, common in many religions. The term “lavabo” is properly a Latin word ( “I shall wash”), which comes from a sentence that the prayer reads during the Mass, when he washes his own hands: Lavabo inter innocentes manus meas et circumdabo altare tuum, Domine (“I shall wash my hands among the innocents and I shall go around your altar, o Lord” Psalm 26:6). The moment of the Mass, when this formula is pronounced, is itself called “lavabo”.
Characterized by their minimalist design, there are beautiful pieces of furniture, monobloc wash basins with stones extracted from our quarries, of course unique for the color that nature gives to each piece, finished according to your requirements, available in any size and design, built using different types of processing: honed , polished, matt, hammered and brushed stone.
