Limestones, Marbles, Travertines, Basalt, SandStones
This stone is a member of the limestone family. Made of calcium carbonate, travertine forms near hot springs or warm springs. It is formed by the precipitation of carbonate minerals from pools, streams, and other surface waters. It is also formed near the opening of limestone caves or hot springs, where it later forms stalagmites, stalactites, and other formations.
Travertine has been used for many construction projects for both commercial and residential customers. Travertine can be used for flooring, cladding on buildings, counter tops, and also as tiling in showers. Travertine is a natural stone that can have an organic feel and is highly durable.
Travertine comes in various colours, including ivory beige, walnut, and, sometimes, gold. Unfilled, this allows the natural stone to reflect its natural fissures and holes.
