At Spikkestad in Røyken is the quarry where we take out smoke granite. It is somewhat more coarse than the iddefjord granite, and has a color scheme in light brownish or gray-white, often with green or white crystals.

The rock consists mainly of alkali flakes, biotites, plagioclasms and quite a quarter of quartz.
The smoke granite is most used as a building block for walls, stairs, floorboards, edges and the like.
