Bașchioi limestone stands in a superior class all of its own because of its exquisite, fine grain and uniformity. Its warm, natural appearance has wonderful character and creates spaces of a calming effect everywhere it is used.
Baschioi limestone quarry operated in the opened site in the mountain side of the village Nicholas Balcescu Dobrogea, Tulcea Country, in a perimeter of 11 hectares. The beige blocks are suitable both for cutting in tiles and carving products.
Baschioi limestone is a sedimentary rock formed by deposition of carbonate and reef fragments, cemented with carbonate cement. The beige background color has a natural looking, and in terms of physical and mechanical charateristics are very good resistance to wear.
