The Nehbandan granite is a sort of granites which has high rate of
hardness and resistance because of the presence of volcanic particles in
the context. This stone is suitable for the industrial spaces and the
places with high rate of transportations and is usually the first
choice. Metro stations which bear the high rate of transportations and
laboratories which are considered as industrial spaces, are the main
examples for the use of this stone. Anyhow, granite stone is applicable
in a harsh environment and are not destroyed easily. Granite stone can
be divided into several types and one of the most famous granites of
Iran is Nehbandan granite. This granite is classified into three main
types of Nehbandan Gray, Nehbandan Cream, and Nehbandak Orange. These
granites are mostly usual in 40×40 size and because of the sudden
increase in stone prices, the 60×60 size is not popular.
Nehbandan Gray Granite is one of the best-selling types. The low
selling price can be thought as a reason in this regard. Hence, the
Nehbandan granite is mostly used in high-tension environments, Nehbandan
Gray can also be a good choice for such environments and there is no
need to other beautiful types. Nehbandan Orange and Cream granites are
used in the projects which the beauty of the space is a priority. For
example these stones are used in the floor of hospitals and great halls
like stock halls.
The Nehbandan Granite is not suitable for facade applications. The
reason is the smooth surface in the backside and the danger of falling
from high places. In case of the use of Nehbandan granite if facades, it
should be scooped to be fixed.
