Diorite Di Traversella, Diorite Del Piemonte, pavers, cobble stone, wall stone
Tomaino’s diorite quarry is located in Traversella, the last village of the Chiusella Valley, in the province of Turin.
The quarry is on the left bank of the Bersella creek (Las region, 1,150 meters. a.s.l.) stretching for about 2 hectares, in the west area of famous dioritic plutonic rocks.
This is the place of the so called “Light Diorite”, an extremely hard stone distinguished by medium/large granules and a light grey colour (due to the high amount of quartz).
