Green - Quartzite
Anyone who admires the beauty of the shades of green tones of Da Vinci Quartzite cannot imagine that its history began in such a distant past, more than 3 billion years ago. From the moment the rocks are formed, they are already exposed to the environment, such as water and wind, including the first rocks formed on planet Earth. During 1 billion years, these primordial rocks were eroded and their grains carried to new locations, being deposited and giving rise to new rocks, this time sedimentary. During this period, in what would later be the north of Bahia, a rift-type sedimentary basin was being formed, where the earth's crust breaks in half and begins to separate, forming two new continents. This gap formed between the portions of land that are separating is flooded and starts to behave like a shallow sea, receiving and accumulating sediments from rivers that begin to flow there.
